Elizabeth Diller moved from Poland to NYC as a child, whilst Richard Scofidio is from New York.
Diller Scofidio + Renfro is an international design firm that spans architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. The architectural practice established its identity through experimental large-scale installations, curatorial and performance projects, and works in media and print. Based in New York, the design firm is led by three partners—Elizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, and Charles Renfro—who work collaboratively with a team of one hundred designers, artists, and architects on the design of each project.

Often architectural studios change their names then ask to update even historically-correct information across the website; we feel this is not helpful in terms of historical accuracy, but we can of course make fresh content to match the new practice branding.
