Award winning David Miller Architects achieve BIM Level 2 certification
The David Miller Architects (DMA) practice has been awarded BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification that proves they are meeting all the requirements of the BIM Level 2 standard.
Some of their previous projects include Intu Watford, Blackfriars Road, JP Morgan Media centre and more.
Sean McCormick, BRE Senior BIM Advisor said: “Congratulations to David Miller Architects for their recent certification which will help them continue developing technology-led design solutions to resolve complex problems on construction projects. Technologies such as the Internet of Things, 3D printing, big data, robotics and machine learning will all have a significant influence on how we build in the years ahead and BIM will be right at the heart of it.”
DMA has also recently been recognised by two UK awards; the CECA Inspiring Change SME Award and the Constructing Excellence SME of the Year 2017.
Background
BRE Global’s BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification scheme assesses a business in relation to its BIM capability and policy as outlined in PAS 1192-2:2013 and PAS 91. It also considers the capability of the business to meet the requirements of an employer to implement BIM Level 2 on a project. www.bregroup.com

David Miller’s background lies in the design and delivery of three dimensionally complex buildings having worked with Norman Foster, Santiago Calatrava and Future Systems. At Future Systems, he was the associate director and project architect on the Stirling prize-winning Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground and in 2015 DMA were commissioned to comprehensively upgrade it.
David’s expertise in combining 3D skills with new technology to enhance building design is what drives our practice today. This has influenced our search for better outcomes and to break down traditional barriers to collaboration we’ve reimagined how an architectural practice works using technology as an enabler.
