The Boilerhouse for Royal Holloway, University of London, comprises a new café pavilion and event space carefully inserted into the courtyard of the original Boilerhouse complex serving the Grade I Listed Founders Building as well as the refurbishment of the original stable block into a seating and servery area.

The original brief from Allied London was for an innovative building concept that gives tenants the ability to adapt their space quickly, easily and at low risk. The building features a unique public environment, which includes basement car parking and a bike park with dedicated entrance.

The architecture practice has finished work on the Grade II Listed Golden Lane Estate Leisure Centre, for the City of London Corporation. The leisure centre, now renamed Golden Lane Sport and Fitness, is home to the only public pool in the Square Mile and much-loved by architects and locals alike.

The first Phase of Chatham Place, a new development in the heart of Reading, designed by Cartwright Pickard architects has recently been completed. The largest building with its eye-catching design incorporates 211 contemporary apartments and penthouses. All are designed with light and space in mind, coupled with the high level of specification making it an ideal place to live, with easy access for both work and leisure.

London’s first Creative Industries Centre, Metropolitan Works, will open a stunning new £4.5 million building designed by the architects firm in February 2009. Situated in the East End of London, the Centre will house £2 million worth of state-of-the-art rapid prototyping and digital manufacturing equipment for use by architects, designers and other businesses.
