Architect office based in northwest London, England
Tchaik Chassay studied at the Architectural Association in London qualifying in 1968. He worked with Edward Cullinan Architects between 1969-81 becoming a senior partner. In 1982 he founded Tchaik Chassay Architects which later became Chassay and Last. In 2011 he founded the current practice Chassay Studio in London’s Notting Hill Gate.
Tchaik has been lecturer and visiting tutor at Cambridge, Bristol, Hull, Oxford Brookes and Thames Universities. He has served on the Council of the Architectural Association since 1982 becoming its Vice President in 1986.
He has been an external examiner in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at the Royal College of Art and at the University of Central England. In 1984 he co-founded The Groucho Club London.

The construction of the new King’s Cross Sports Hall, a community sports centre and gym building by a award-winning architecture practice. This new property development is located at the north east edge of the 67-acre King’s Cross development, has now completed.

Assael’s design draws on the neighbouring wood and aims to marry the different land uses surrounding the site. The development will significantly boost the local ecology by providing new wildlife habitats.
