Benoy’s design of the building and commercial planning, in conjunction with local Swedish architects Bau, is complemented by the Interior Design from Swedish agency Wingårdhs and Paris-based Saguez and Partners.

Summerhouse Lagnö
The setting is the Stockholm archipelago, natural ground sloping gently down to the sea in the south, mostly open with a few trees and bushes. Unlike other projects we worked on located on more isolated islands in the archipelago without car access from the mainland, this site was relatively easy to reach also with heavy transports.

City Hall Kiruna
Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with Tema Landscape Architects Sweden, WSP Engineers Sweden and UiWE Cultural Designers have won the competition for a new city hall in Kiruna in Northern Sweden. The city hall will mark the beginning of the development of an entirely new city centre in Kiruna.

The client had split his garden city plot in two and moved the old house to the one. The other had a more embedded position, including a big old oak tree in the middle. The gross building allowance had to be fully exploited in order to create a large enough home for the growing family.
Electrical Charging Stations, Gothenburg, south west Sweden – 6 Aug 2013

Electrical Charging Stations
The charging stations come in three sizes all with the same formal language for recognition. They are built using FSC-certified local wood. To provide a smooth and safe logistics cars are separated from bikes and mopeds as they are parked on an elevated ramp. A roof tilted towards the south and covered with solar cells provides shelter for the cars. The solar cells are estimated to provide most of the energy used for charging the vehicles.

Emporia is first and foremost an urban planning project in which offices, housing, and retail come together in a mixed-use development along Boulevarden and Stationsgatan in Hyllie, on the south side of Malmö.

This new building has given Malmö a unique new regional and commuter train station in the heart of the city. The number of travellers per day has been estimated to 37,000, making it Sweden’s third busiest railway station.

During the winter there has been a selection process to choose the architects who will be invited to participate in the planned architectural competition to design a Nobel Center at Blasieholmen in Stockholm.

schmidt hammer lassen architects has won the competition to design the 35,000 square metre extension to the Helsingborg Hospital in the southern part of Sweden. The competition was won in cooperation with Aarhus Arkitekterne, NNE Pharmaplan and landscape architects Kragh & Berglund.

International design competition for the ESS, which will become the world’s largest and most advanced facility for neutron-based research. The team also includes the engineering companies Buro Happold, NNE Pharmaplan and Transsolar.

The New Cultural Centre and Library in Karlshamn, Sweden, is designed to gather the city’s cultural functions under one roof. schmidt hammer lassen architects has just won an international competition to design this 5,000 square metre cultural centre.

The vertical museum is a city type. In urban situations are collections connected by stairs, elevators and escalators. It is an effect of density, but also a way to create sequences in the exhibition with the natural boundaries of the building.

All the way out where the forest ends and the reeds begin, a visitor center hovers low on piles set carefully into the water’s edge. The building is clad in thatch, camouflaged like a birdwatcher’s blind, hiding its contents from the natural world that surrounds it.

HönsHus-1 is a wooden hens house designed and built by Torsten Ottesjö situated on the West coast of Sweden. It rests on a framework of steel legs drilled into rock.

Domkyrkoforum Visitor Centre
The new Domkyrkoforum visitor centre, facing the Cathedral in the Swedish city of Lund, uses Aurubis Architectural’s Nordic Brass panels to create a series of contemporary forms, generating new vistas and public spaces within its historic setting.

Spira has four different performing arts venues: a main concert hall that seats 910, a 450-seat theater, a 200-seat black box, and a 200-seat café stage. The building is situated on an artificial peninsula jutting out into Lake Munksjön, right in the center of downtown Jönköping.

Wrapped entirely in a cloak of glass, Victoria Tower stands like a lighthouse along the road between downtown Stockholm and the city’s airport.
