1. Concrete
Made of: Cement, water, sand, and aggregates (gravel or crushed stone)
Used for: Foundations, walls, floors, structural frames

– Fire-resistant
– Long-lasting
Cons:

– High carbon footprint (especially from cement)
2. Bricks & Blocks
Types: Clay bricks, concrete blocks, AAC (aerated concrete) blocks, and facing bricks

– Good sound insulation
– Aesthetically pleasing (bricks)
Cons:
– Labor-intensive
