Architecture becomes less an object within the landscape than a delicate framework for experiencing it.

A restrained palette of natural materials lends the interior a sense of permanence, warmth, and authenticity, creating an environment that conveys trust, stability, and enduring quality.

Located on the thirteenth floor of a residential building in Mexico City, Azotea Sagredo was conceived in response to a series of technical and logistical constraints that ultimately informed the design approach. The existing structure imposed strict weight restrictions, while limited and complex site access made the transportation of large-format components impractical.

Set within a seven-acre campus, the project draws inspiration from the region’s layered cultural heritage, blending references to both the ancient Maya civilisation and the colonial era with expressions of contemporary Yucatecan identity.

This avant-garde restaurant is conceived as an architectural destination in its own right, combining industrial materials with organic warmth. Natural steel plates, timber elements and black glass walls establish a bold, contemporary palette, while bespoke AYOTLI luminaires introduce a handcrafted layer of detail. Made from wood canvas and embellished with gold, silver and copper leaf hearts, the custom lighting adds warmth and texture, creating a carefully balanced dialogue between industrial sophistication and artisanal character.

This approach ensures that the architecture can accommodate change without compromising its underlying structure.

The Hipico Piedra Grande clubhouse occupies a privileged eight-hectare site surrounded by forest in the State of Mexico. Forming part of a comprehensive equestrian complex, the project brings together facilities dedicated to equestrian sport and the care of horses, including 110 two-storey stables, sand riding tracks, gravel paths and extensive green areas. The clubhouse is integrated into this carefully planned landscape, creating a cohesive environment where sporting activity, equine welfare and the surrounding forest come together.

Responding to the lack of adequate commercial facilities in the historic centre of Tepoztlán, the project was conceived as a new municipal market capable of consolidating the area’s informal trade. By relocating vendors from streets and other public areas, the initiative seeks to restore and improve the quality of shared urban spaces that had become irregularly occupied. The market therefore functions not only as a place for commerce, but also as an instrument for urban renewal, bringing order and vitality to the historic centre while supporting local economic activity.

The two towers are connected by a central lobby and a continuous stairway extending from the parking level to the second floor, establishing clear and efficient vertical circulation throughout the complex. Pedestrian access is provided from Alejandro Dumas Street, while vehicles enter via Horacio Street, creating a practical separation between pedestrian and vehicular movement and ensuring an orderly arrival experience.

Costa Corasol is a residential complex in Playa del Carmen overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The masterplan comprises six apartment buildings supported by an extensive range of amenities, including a beach club, owners’ club, restaurant, outdoor gym, pool area, children’s club and mixed-use plaza. Two buildings have been completed to date, with construction of the second phase now underway. The development is conceived as an integrated coastal community, combining residential living with leisure, recreation and social spaces that reinforce its relationship with the surrounding landscape.

The remodelling was carried out by Oficina de Prácticas Arquitectónicas (OPA), with Comité de Proyectos responsible for the interior design and bespoke furniture. Together, the interventions create a cohesive yet varied environment in which each space is defined by its own material and spatial expression.

Casa Colorada (CC) owes its name to the clay red soil color of the mountain where it is built. CC is a country house in the colonial and tourist town of Valle de Bravo, 140 km away from Mexico City. Valle de Bravo is located 1600 meters above sea level and has a privileged microclimate since temperatures slightly vary throughout the year, setting the average at 22 degrees centigrade.
