Pelli Clarke & Partners complete this LEED Gold-certified office tower located in the heart of downtown, where the North, South, and Eastern branches of the Chicago River meet. The tower is the final addition to Wolf Point, a 14-year project to complete one of the most visible waterfront locations in the city.

Invest South/West in Humboldt Park

The City of Chicago selected Team Pioneros, a 100% Latino project team, led by JGMA, Park Row Development with All Construction Group, to redevelop the Invest South/West landmark Pioneer Bank Building located at the northwest corner of North Avenue and Pulaski Road in Humboldt Park. The $53.9 m proposal will rehabilitate the vacant landmark bank building and parking lot with affordable housing, an entrepreneurial incubator space, a Latino cultural center, and office space.

The project for this 50-storey office block sought to favour the possibility of a panoramic view over the city, so that there is an evident predominance of glass on the façade while nevertheless avoiding the formulaic glass tower of arbitrary forms. The existence of the American tradition of skyscraper construction, with some especially attractive examples in Chicago, suggested the need to reestablish a dialogue between the classicism of stone and the high-tech of glass.
