DUO Towers Singapore
The design for this Malaysian-Singaporean joint venture actively engages the space of the surrounding city to form a new civic nucleus in Singapore’s modern metropolis. The two towers are not conceived as autonomous objects, but defined by the spaces they create around them.

Dancing Dragons Towers
This is a design for a pair of landmark supertall mixed-use towers for the new Yongsan International Business District in Seoul, South Korea. The buildings, which include residential, “officetel” and retail elements, consist of slender, sharply angled mini-towers cantilevered around a central core. The design aesthetic is highly contemporary yet informed by aspects of traditional Korean culture.

These new Abu Dhabi buildings – five towers – include a tower of 76 storeys and over 300m (984 feet) in height, which places these skyscrapers in the building category of ‘Super-talls’.

Cherry Orchard Road – 55 storeys This skyscraper development includes two residential buildings, one of which is a 55-storey tower, providing 496 homes, a 165-bed hotel with 22 serviced apartments, 6,600 sqm of new office accommodation, a new 530 sqm community centre, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and public realm improvements.

The China World Trade Tower is an 81-story, mixed use building set in Beijing’s Central Business District. The tower contains offices, meeting space, restaurants, and the China World Summit Wing hotel. The building by SOM now stands as Beijing’s tallest structure and marks the completion of the third and most recent phase of the China World Trade Center development.

In response to the pressing demand to reduce carbon emissions and protect natural resources, SOM’s plan calls for a new Central Park as a resource for geo-thermal exchange. The plan proposes to passively heat and cool many district buildings, reducing the need for water-consuming cooling towers.
