Height Confirmation for One World Trade Center at 1,776 Feet
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Height Committee has ruled on the official height of this important skyscraper building (541.3 m) on the site of the former twin towers, aka Ground Zero. This WTC tower was originally designed by architect Daniel Libeskind but has been taken to completion by SOM who have a strong track record going back many years with designing skyscrapers.

The world’s most renowned architecture prize for skyscrapers, the Emporis Skyscraper Award, was awarded in 2013 to the ‘Marilyn Monroe Towers’ near to Toronto. The two 170m high towers were selected by a jury from over 300 skyscrapers at least 100 meters tall completed last year. These skyscraper buildings have created so much interest across the world due to their beautifully twisting forms.

Four of the world’s most acclaimed architecture firms are participating this week in the conceptual design phase of its architectural competition for a new office tower to be constructed at 425 Park Avenue in Manhattan:
