St. Petersburg Gorskaya Territory Open International Competition
An Open International Competition for the development of architectural and urban planning solutions for the Gorskaya territory was launched today at the Press Center of the Russian News Agency TASS in St. Petersburg. The customer is Megaline LLC, with the support of the International Society of City and Regional Planners, the Russian Green Building Council, and the Association of Landscape Architects of Russia.

Ferrum 1 St Petersburg Building
The first building in Russia constructed with Corten steel. This office building stands on the historic site of the former Rossiya factory in St Petersburg’s Polustrovo district. Situated on the right bank of the Neva opposite the Smolny Cathedral.

Dutch architectural firms KCAP and Orange Architects are working in a consortium with A.Len Architectural Bureau in St. Petersburg, Russia, to transform a former railway yard on Ligovsky Prospekt into a new residential district with communal facilities, retail and extensive greenery.

This building is one of the largest exhibition and congress centers in the world. It is located in 10 minutes’ drive from Pulkovo Airport on a site bounded by Peterburgskoe Chaussee leading towards the inner city of Saint Petersburg.

This building is to be covered with cubic transparent metal gauze spreading over the stained-glass windows of three office blocks. The office blocks have different heights; the highest of them is 11-storeys. The building is cut by the internal triangular atrium round which terraces – the lounge zone for the workers and visitors of offices are located.

The debut residential project for yoo, the internationally renowned property design firm is launched in St. Petersburg, under the yoo Inspired by Starck brand. The new 399 unit residential complex is set on Petrogradskaya with sweeping views across the Gulf of Finland. LeontievskyMys is apparently the “first design-led, international-standard luxury housing in St Petersburg”.

Canadian-designed opera house completes Performing Arts Complex. The stage is set for one of the largest performing arts facilities in the world to open on May 2nd in St. Petersburg, Russia. Mariinsky II designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects is the new home of the acclaimed Mariinsky opera, ballet and orchestra. Located in the historic centre of St. Petersburg across the Kryukov Canal from the original Mariinsky Theatre (1860), the new opera/ballet house is a structure of authentic contemporary architecture that pays homage to its setting with a 21st-century sensibility.
