Revitalisation of the Crucifix Bastion
Revitalisation was completed on the basis of the winning entry in a public architectural competition in 2007. The new structure for public facilities was designed as a building below ground, a hidden acropolis attracting visitors with its contents and its form, not through mere visibility.

The designed building represents usage both ancient and modern architectural principles in a simple concept that uses proportions of the terrain and transformation of principles of various classical cultures.

Benoy, the international, award-winning firm of Architects, Masterplanners, Interior and Graphic Designers, is delighted to announce the opening of Centrum Černý Most. Located to the east of Prague, Centrum Černý Most, was launched to great applause; the VIP party saw performances from the Prague Symphonic Orchestra FOK and the celebrations were attended by over 5,000 people.

This Czech building represents principles and objectives of Science Exploratorium: exploring, explaining and protecting of the natural world as for the field of astronomy. The original building was built gradually from 1949 to 1991. The visitor is not supposed to be coming here for the building´s mere presence, but to watch a cosmic phenomena normally unobservable. The logical design consequence was to interconnect the building with park so that an impression of transparency could be set up.

After Jean Nouvel turned down the invitation, Frank Gehry architect accepted. He nicknamed the project Fred and Ginger. Some interiors of the investor’s offices were designed by Eva Jiricna. Completed 1996, first very controversial for the Prague citizens, now widely acknowledged piece of art.

Villa Tugendhat interior renovation: furniture restoration in the Villa Tugendhat, originally designed by Mies van der Rohe, was aimed at restoring some of the remaining interior doors and reproduction of the original wooden built-in and freely positioned furniture, including metal furniture.

The Trutnov’s Community Centre for Culture and Leisure UFFO has won a major award. Along with four other buildings it has been proclaimed The Building of the Year 2011 by the jury consisting of renowned architects.

The new complex buildings are located in downtown Zlin and consist of a Congress Centre for the City and Library for the University of Tomas Bata. The setting of both buildings is a response to the surrounding urban axis and local massing of adjacent buildings.

Design Hotel Miura, that recently opened at the north-western part of the Czech Republic, gratifies art lovers, design and architecture fans as well as golf enthusiasts. Architecture of the entire building is rough as the surrounding mountains but at the same time cosy where it should be.
