The Oct design museum, Shenzhen, China : Studio Pei-Zhu

The first floor of the building holds the entry lobby and café, while the second and third is mainly exhibition space. Storage space is spread out evenly through the floors, with movable walls allow the exhibition spaces to be very flexible in scale and function.
Dancing Towers Seoul, South Korea : Studio Daniel Libeskind

The design for the Dancing Towers is inspired by the traditional Korean Buddhist Dance known as Seungmu (or ‘Seung-Moo’). The subtle rotation of the towers creates the illusion they are dancing, as inspired by the long sleeves of the Seung-Moo dancer’s traditional costumes, gracefully propelled by the dancer’s movements.
Daeyang Gallery and House Seoul, South Korea : Steven Holl Architects

Selected as winner in the Live Category, the Daeyang Gallery and House was inspired by a 1967 sketch for a music score by composer Istvan Anhalt, called “Symphony of Modules.” The gallery and house is a composition in sequential movement. Three pavilions—one for entry, one residence, and one event space—appear to push upward from a continuous gallery level below.

The Master Plan for the estate will be vital in delivering the strategic vision for the future of the Horniman Museum and Gardens, which includes attracting a million visitors a year by 2023, engaging audiences in global issues as London’s only museum where nature and culture are seen alongside each other, and more closely matching London’s diversity in its audiences.
Yingkou Convention and Exposition Center, Liaoning, China : 2DEFINE Architecture

The convention center will be situated on a 130,000-square-meter (14,000,000-square-foot) man-made island which will serve as a business destination and feature outdoor promenades and gardens for use by local residents. The half-acre roof-top terrace will overlook the Bohai Sea, and offer an outdoor space adjacent to the ballroom.
University of Semnan Campus, Iran : New Wave Architecture

Located at Semnan university campus as a focal point, offers an architectonic articulation with different architectural styles of surrounding faculties in the campus. The architectural concept has been configured on the basis of two separated but compounded architectural constructions – an auditorium and a Library – as the hub of campus.

The total built area for Escuelas Pías de San Antón is 35878 m2, of which 628 belong to the baroque church of San Antón, a declared “Building of Cultural Interest” by architect Pedro Ribera that is completely embedded within the complex an constitutes the only part that didn’t suffer the progressive ruination that affected the rest of the lot.

Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) announced the recipients of the 12th SIA Architectural Design Awards, the profession’s highest recognition of works that exemplify excellence in architectural design. Selected from 112 submissions, 22 recipients will be honoured on 18 May 2012 at the SIA 51st Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony to be held at Resorts World Convention Centre.
