Gallon House Bradford
Set in a Conservation Area, Gallon House is a grade II listed building and was carefully renovated. We tried to retain all its original features and re-establish original elements which had been compromised over time.
In addition, an oak-clad lift core is located in the courtyard, reflecting the language of varied vertical chimney stacks. External balconies complete the courtyard elevation.

Kraus & Schönberg Practice Information
Architect studio based in London (UK) and Konstanz (Germany)
This German / British architecture firm create buildings and spaces within the urban cultural context for private, commercial and public-sector clients.
Our activities currently include work in derelict industrial areas, the peripheries of cities and conservation areas, as well as on historic structures and the renewal of buildings – all part of contemporary European urban regeneration.
We place great emphasis on a close working relationship with the client as well as a constant, in-depth examination of the site, the brief, and the needs of people in their social surroundings. All this helps us to produce useful and cost-effective buildings.
The necessary tools for this purpose are newly defined for every project by analyzing the situation and parameters.
Minimising energy input, with renewable energy sources and the economical use of construction resources, is the basis of the architecture of the future.
