H27D Constance apartments, Germany
Constance Building design by Kraus Schoenberg Architects in Baden-Wuerttemberg
22 Jun 2012
Location: Constance, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany
Typology: mixed-use – apartments and a clothing shop
Design: Kraus Schoenberg Architects
H27D
H27D represents an elegant combination of sensitivity to context and technical prowess. The walls are made entirely of lightweight in-situ concrete, avoiding the use of additional thermal insulation.
The apartments are deep in plan and ingenious. A typical plan has small bedrooms with a linking balcony overlooking the street, with a large open-plan L shaped living-kitchen-dining area behind.
This clever mixed-use scheme (a clothes shop occupies the whole of the ground floor giving it a real street presence) was achieved for a mere €1428 per square metre.

House G12 on Lake Constance Property
In some ways, the architect duo of Stefanie and Stephan Eberding have followed the tradition of avantgarde flexibility projects of Classic Moderne with their experimental living house at Überlingen on the lake Constance. This new design was also based on the idea of extending the available space and experience of space by making the inner space configuration flexible.
Another building in Constance on e-architect:
Museum Bodman-Ludwigshafen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany

Museum Bodman-Ludwigshafen design
This is a planned museum, where the whole interesting history of Lake Constance and the town Bodman, is named after Lake Constance and its surroundings should be reflected. The plan will be developed in consultation with architect Thomas Kramer, who is responsible for the overall planning for the redevelopment of the center Bodman.
