L’And Vineyards Hotel

For the person who longs to run a vineyard, and own a unique second home with luxurious amenities, and beautiful vistas, this architectural project in southern Portugal has a unique offer. L’AND Vineyards was developed around a central valley of vineyards, olive trees and a lake.

With both architectural and hospitality highlights, the resort’s central hub features a cellar and wine club, a spa, a restaurant with an outdoor patio, a living room, a library and a shop that offers exclusive products created by L’AND – the L’AND MADE products. All of the features are available for use by both residents and guests. The five-star L’AND Vineyards Resort Hotel’s 22 suites include about 135 housing units. As modern luxuries planted into a rural landscape, the units are organized into seven clusters over 66 metric acres of land, hidden within the Alentejo’s hillside.

Five world-renowned architects have lent their work to the award-winning project, bringing a distinct personality to each of the resort’s seven clusters, with modern architecture that reinterprets traditional Mediterranean design. These architects include Promontório Arquitectos, of Lisbon, Sergison Bates Architects, of London, João Luís Carrilho da Graça Arquitectos, of Lisbon, Architekturbüro Peter Märkli, of Zurich and José Paulo dos Santos Arquitecto, of Porto. Lisbon’s João Ferreira Nunes, of PROAP landscaped the area, while the interior decoration features original luxury pieces by Brazilian architect Márcio Kogan.

L’AND Sky Suite Concept
Feeling the night sky of the Alentejo and observing the cosmos are some of the outstanding experiences that L’AND offers its guests. So as to pay tribute to Alentejo’s nocturnal landscape – one of the European regions with less light pollution – L’AND has privileged the observation of the sky as one of the everlasting experiences of the L’AND Sky Suites.

Combining architecture and natural beauty, the five-star L’AND Vineyards Resort relies on only 22 suites in an atmosphere of quiet luxury. All of the suites include a private terrace with a fireplace, a view of the lake, direct access to the pool, iPad and iPod technology and other details.

The ten L’AND Sky View Suites allow for the unique experience of sleeping “under the stars”, through a natural skylight in the bedroom for night observation, as well as a plunge pool located in the private patio. The twelve L’AND View Suites treat visitors to a private, outdoor jaccuzzi and an extra room in the suite.
