The plans for Tanjung Aru Eco Development were announced by the Chief Minister of Sabah at the Malaysia Day Golden Jubilee celebration, emphasising the importance of the scheme to regenerate the area for future generations.

International engineering consultancy Web Structures has been appointed to help create a £60 million development in Malaysia that includes restoring the site of Sir Stamford Raffles’ historic home to all its former glory. The Runnymede masterplan in Georgetown, Penang will see the creation of a stylish mixed development of offices, retail, houses and luxury apartments as well as a top hotel.

Connecting three levels of a multi-generational home the spiral concerns both the poetic and the pragmatic. The skill and delicate craft of traditional boat builders was enlisted to build the curving tapering form.

This building is perhaps Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic shopping mall, featuring an array of luxury shops and fine dining restaurants. Spark’s design proposal dealt with the reinvention of the existing façade of the building facing Bukit Bintang.
