The A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation has donated DKK 200 mio. to the modernization and extension of the science center and museum Experimentarium in Hellerup, Copenhagen. In 2011, CEBRA won the architecture competition for the new Experimentarium, an approximately 320,000 sqft project.

A team of 3XN, HKS Architects, Arup, ME Engineers and Planit has won the design competition for the new Copenhagen Arena, which will be situated in the Ørestad-area a short metro ride from the city center of Denmark’s capital. The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.

Henning Larsen Architects and a team consisting of Signal Architects and SLA Landscape Architects have won the competition for Nordea Bank’s new office building of 40,000 m2 in Ørestad North, Copenhagen, next to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation and the Concert Hall – Koncerthuset. The building will comprise Scandinavia’s largest trading floor of 5,500 m2 with a view of the green area of Amager Fælled.

Cleaning Facilities Centre : POLYFORM + KARRES EN BRANDS – 24 Oct 2012

This is a classical challenging task: how to establish innovative architecture in an age-old quarter of the city and still respect the old environment? The collaboration between the Danish architecture firm POLYFORM architects and the Dutch architecture firm KARRES EN BRANDS Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning led to the idea of building underground instead of building on the surface.

Sølvgade School : C. F. Møller Architects – 22 Aug

Denmark’s oldest school, the listed Sølvgade School built in 1847, close to King Christian IV’s famous historic naval barracks, Nyboder, in Copenhagen, has for many years been lacking space and modern facilities. C. F. Moller has carefully renovated the school and done an extension which in its form and colors is true to the surroundings, but also adds a modernistic twist to the school.
