AEG Turbine Factory
Famous Modern structure that appears in most architectural guides to the 20th century. Peter Behrens was appointed by the German Electricity Company as artistic consultant in 1907.
The AEG turbine factory in the district of Moabit is the best-known work of German architect Peter Behrens. The austere industrial building’s style is loosely affiliated to Art Nouveau architecture, though clearly not as flowing or decorative as is typical.
