LEAF Forum
Date: 2 – 4 Sep 2009
Venue: InterContinental
Location: Berlin, Germany
The 8th annual Leading European Architects Forum (LEAF) is for the first time hosting an exhibition and conference programme, free to the public, alongside this established event. The exhibition will feature over numerous exhibitors showcasing their products and services to the international LEAF audience. The LEAF Forum will run concurrently with the exhibition in its traditional format of one-to-one business meetings.
Jurgen Mayer, one of the world’s top architects, is attending this year’s LEAF event and will deliver the opening address. Mayer will be one of the many high-profile speakers at LEAF International where the main focus of this year’s event will be on sustainable development and its application through sustainable construction within the industry.
Mathias Häußler of ENERGATE will lead a presentation on ‘Passive Housing – Delivering a quality of life’. Also, Professor Henn’s from Henn Architekten will provide an insightful talk on ‘Social Sustainability’ plus many more.
The LEAF Exhibition will provide a cutting edge conference programme. In these uncertain times the focus will be on:
– how architects and designers are dealing with the economic downturn
– how to survive in a recession
– the future of young architects
– factors to consider when selecting a supplier
– market predictions for 2010 and beyond
as well as a Q&A session which will reveal how, in light of the uncertain economic climate, construction companies procurement and business needs are changing.
