Mariinsky Theatre Building
Located in the historic centre of St. Petersburg across the Kryukov Canal from the original Mariinsky Theatre (1860), the new opera/ballet house is a structure of authentic contemporary architecture that pays homage to its setting with a 21st-century sensibility. The state-of-the-art facility enables one of the world’s most prolific performing arts companies to dramatically enhance its repertoire and to create new works and innovative productions.

Molde Theatre : Design Competition winner
The Norwegian city of Molde has just 25,000 inhabitants, but every July the biggest stars of jazz and about 100,000 jazz enthusiasts flock to the town’s world famous international jazz festival. In designing the city’s new cultural center, the challenge faced by 3XN was to create a building that was flexible and robust enough to provide a framework for cultural life on both scales.

Municipal Theatre of Guarda
The TMG is situated in Guarda, in a rural part of Portugal ‘s interior. The buildings are located in a central part of the city south of the old city limits. The site is contiguous with the close-knit urban fabric, but does not share a direct relationship with the surrounding public space. The construction site possesses an apparently invisible contextualist character.

Music Theatre Graz
A desire to make a building that is as much about music as a building can be, has been a constant throughout the nearly ten years that it took to build this design. Although the project outwardly has changed considerably since its inception, the two themes that are at the basis of the building and its overall organization have endured.
