Hammerson acquired a 50% interest in the freehold of Queensgate shopping centre in November 2005. The centre is a fully enclosed two level shopping centre providing 135 stores and 2,300 car parking spaces.

A major refurbishment of the centre is planned as part of the Northwestgate project, a 60,000 m² mixed-used scheme by Hammerson and Norwich Union on land adjoining the centre
