The original concept of the building was very simple – the repetition of a single structural bay (20.6m by 20.6m) square steel structural unit capable of expansion in a multi-cellular way. This concept allowed us to raise three existing bays, thus creating office accommodation over two stories and organized around three atria.

Construction has started on Bennetts Associates’ new Gateway Building for St Antony’s College, University of Oxford, a graduate college specialising in international relations, economics, politics and specialist areas of history.

This modern education building is made of two twin elements, side by side, centralizing three establishments: the campus of Sciences-Politiques for undergrad education and the two schools SPI (Sciences for engineers) and INSA-Civil engineering. The architects eventually proposed to group together the three institutions in two different entities unified in one single building.

The Two thousand Four boxing day tsunami was the worst natural disaster to hit Sri Lanka in living memory. For a country already reeling from a two and a half decade old war the timing of the tsunami could not have been worse.

BDP has won the competition to design the 16,000 sqm Cardiff City Centre Community Campus for Cardiff and Vale College. The college is one of the largest in Wales serving Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan and this project brings together many of its activities onto a single campus in the heart of the city.

Yale-NUS College will be first liberal arts college in Singapore, offering four-year undergraduate degrees on a campus that integrates learning and living. This new institution, jointly created by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, will enroll up to 1,000 students.

Design Competition to design a new Lecture Theatre and College Kitchens for Worcester College. The architecture contest sought to select an architect-led team with whom the College can work to deliver a building of architectural distinction that will be a worthy adjunct to the College’s numerous listed buildings and its beautiful grounds and gardens.

The Site is located in Horana, overlooking the paddy fields. The brief made the project a challenging task, as it required the school to be housed in one building with classes from grade one up to O/L, a science lab, staff rooms, toilet blocks, a play area and assembly hall- which could accommodate the entire school.

This new building for the Faculty of Education at the University of Seville on the campus of Viapol will house up to 5,000 students nine degrees. Designed by Spanish architects Cruz and Ortiz the key element is the long tall central courtyard space, criss-crossed by large ‘bridges’ angled on plan.
