The Taringa House, originally a worker’s cottage, is situated along Stanley Terrace—a traditional street lined with character homes. The design program, focused on accommodating most family activities within the addition, resulted in two juxtaposed yet contrasting building forms, referred to here as the ‘old’ and the ‘new’.
