Cavendish Housing Villa Belgrano – Modern Cordoba Homes
Descriptive memory:
The housing development is located in a strategic area of the city of Córdoba and is designed to offer high-quality, comfortable, and secure living spaces. The five units that make up the project include two distinct typologies, each measuring approximately 220 m², and all maintaining the same standard of design, functionality, and attention to detail.
The architectural proposal seeks to create spacious, bright interiors with strong internal connectivity. The two-story layout maximizes the potential of each space, allowing for clear circulation and generous, comfortable areas for everyday living.
The ground floor contains the social areas, where the living room, dining room, and kitchen merge into a single integrated space that extends toward the gallery through large windows. This openness enhances the continuity between interior and exterior, creating a fluid and pleasant environment. One of the typologies also includes a dedicated service area with a pantry and laundry room, adding practicality and improving the home’s overall organization.
The upper floor is organized around a hallway illuminated by skylights, creating a warm circulation space and emphasizing the vertical dimension. This level includes two secondary bedrooms that share a bathroom, as well as a primary bedroom with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. The generous width of the hallway not only increases privacy between rooms but also allows for a small workspace or storage area, adding functionality without compromising the overall harmony of the design.
Connection with the exterior is reinforced through large windows that make natural light a defining feature of the interior. Light is softened by a micro-perforated cladding system that gives character to the complex while helping control solar exposure without sacrificing transparency.
A defining element of the project is its use of metal cladding: a wood-like finish on the ground floor creates a strong visual base, while white cladding wraps the cantilevered upper volumes, giving them a lighter and more refined expression.
Overall, the project blends contemporary aesthetics with practicality, offering a residential space designed to meet current needs while providing a comfortable and balanced living experience.
