Izmir Opera House Competition Project

For the new Izmir Opera House the intention was to create a building other than its function of being a cultur and arts center that can also meet different needs, inside and outside. In this point of view a building where art can be produced, exhibited and shared and which will give its visitors the opportunity to integrate with the nature was created.

New Opera Building will be placed into an architectural park and under the constructed layers of the new topography there will be; an opare stage, a foyer, art and management units, an open air theater, art production-training center, a library, book and music stores, cafe and restaurants and recreation and resting gardens. And the placement of all these units different perceptions of sea and garden will give the citizens the chance to establish a direct relationship with nature.
