Bodrum Primex Boutique Hotel Project
Bodrum Primex Boutique Hotel
A boutique hotel on the coast of Aegean Sea, in untouched nature in Torba-Bodrum has been re-designed. A building that’s been built but never used, was torn down to its foundations and re-designed.
The building is built on three levels, each 900m ². The garden level features a large swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna, game rooms, recreation rooms, a large industrial kitchen and servants rooms.
In the entrance floor, the rooms are grouped around a large courtyard with a glass roof.
There are the library, the dining room and living room. On the first floor there are master, two and four VIP bedrooms. The entire roof is designed as a terrace.
The new design of interior spaces and the garden relies on natural experiences. Colors, smells, light, water and materials were composed as experiential elements.
Walls and doors have been designed as a unit of panels which form the space. The spatial separation or opening is seen as a threshold and is constructed with solid chestnut wood panels.
The wood work was prepared as a skilled art with old traditional methods. For thousands of individual parts of the panels are assembled.
The dining table with stainless steel frame and Pang panga wood with its size (7,2 x1, 55) and its weight (1000kg) also directed to the senses. Eat, discuss and be together up to 22 people with this strong furniture.
The various pergolas on the terrace, in the entrance and around the outside staircase are built from Akaschu wood, just like the shutters on the windows. They give protection against the sun and serve as a fragrant jasmine trellis. The building is thus gekrönnt and brought to the harmonious proportions.
The garden and the open spaces are clearly defined. A 150 meter long road connecting the hotel entrance and the sea and an equally long water channel with a width of 43 cm along the way is used day and night for creating a fresh element on the way to the sea.
Parallel to the road are orange, tangerine, and lemon trees planted, which fill the road with fragrance and color.
Three habitats are distributed in the garden. In the garden pond with islands to rest in the entrance and above the treatment plant.
A pergola on the beach serves as a dining and meeting place. Here, too, were used local plants such as Begonvilla with their vibrant colors and jasmine with its perfumes, which embrace the recovery rooms.
On the other hand, the entire garden is covered with a carpet of grass, which invites you to relax under shady trees.
