Stirling has two other campus libraries. The Highland Health Sciences Library is located in Inverness and holds a wide range of resources in the field of Health Studies. The Western Isles Health Board in Stornoway operates a library comprising primarily medical and other health services material on behalf of the NHS and the University. An inter-site loan system allows borrowing from any of the campus libraries.
Research repository
The Stirling Online Research Repository (STORRE) provides open access to a small subset of our theses in full text: PhD and Master’s by Research. Since September 2006 all University of Stirling research theses are required to be submitted to the Repository.

Pathfoot Building University of Stirling
The University was built around, and centred on Airthrey Loch. The Pathfoot Building is however located remotely to the west, by the campus entrance, apparently to reduce noise and disruption that would be created during construction of the central buildings.

Stirling Tolbooth
Stirling Tolbooth represents a major and confident insertion into a historic building that is all too rare in Scotland. The contrast of old and new, subtle and strident is exciting and the complexity astounding. The stone building dates from the seventeenth century onwards, and has functioned variously as a town hall, a courthouse and jail.

Dunfermline Museum
The £9m project is integrated with the world’s first Andrew Carnegie library and is at the heart of the town’s historic medieval centre, adjacent to the Abbot House and close to the Romanesque Abbey. It includes a museum of 19th and 20th century Dunfermline, three art galleries, a children’s library and a local archive reading room as well as café and meeting rooms. The project was won in competition in 2007.
