This development is formed from a pair of interconnected mixed-use skyscrapers
The developers were AREA Property Partners and The Related Companies in New York City.
The twin towers are 750 ft (229 m) high
Construction began after the demolition of the New York Coliseum.
The tower was topped out in February 2003.
The twin skyscrapers were originally known as the AOL Time Warner Center The buildings are located on the western side of Columbus Circle.
The total floor area of 2.8 million ft² or 260,000 m².
The development includes offices, residential condominiums, a theater and a hotel:
– the principal offices are for Time Warner Inc. and an R&D Center for VMware.
– the accommodation is the Mandarin Oriental, New York hotel.
– the theatre has 1,200 seats for Jazz at Lincoln Center as well as CNN studios.
