Carnikava Forest House, Latvia property
This small private house, located in a scenic area about 30 km from Riga, sits near the Gulf of Riga at the edge of a lush forest. The house and garage are positioned separately on the site, following the footprints of pre-existing foundations. A wooden terrace connects the two buildings, blending them seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment.

BAUA membership withdrawal from International Union of Architects News
Based on the decision of the Council of the Estonian Association of Architects dated 12.01.2023, the decision of the Council of the Latvian Association of Architects dated 02.02.2023, and the decision of the General Assembly of the Lithuanian Association of Architects dated 27.04.2023, the Baltic Architects Unions Association (BAUA) announced its withdrawal from the International Union of Architects (UIA) yesterday, on the 6th of July during the UIA General Assembly in Copenhagen:

House of the Flying Trees
HOFT combines a respect for Riga’s built heritage with an appreciation for contemporary architecture, and a wish to bring more nature back to the city. The seven-storey apartment complex in the historical centre of Riga comprises a 20th century Art Nouveau building with a new volume.

Hanzas Spire Tower in Riga
The 18,000 sqm mixed-use development will occupy a triangular site next to Skonto football stadium, just outside the Old Town of Riga (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and adjacent to historic Riga Fire Station. The design will feature class A office spaces, ground floor retail opportunities and a rooftop restaurant, in addition to creating a public area in front of the building.

The house is situated in the dunes of the Baltic Sea. A sharp linear thatched structure is elegantly intersecting and engaging with curvy lines of it‘s surroundings. The main facade material – straws – was inspired by a traditional building method in the area.

Nature Concert Hall 2016 is designed as an art installation made from 10 000 paper bats. Levitating cloud with gradient density over the musicians serves also as a screen for video and light projections. To achieve maximum lightness and levitation effect art installation is suspended in 3 paired electricity columns far away each from another.

Holiday Home Lapinas
The holiday home Lapinas in Kaltene village is a conversion of an old fisherman’s court where the old stone building was enclosed in a new glass structure to make an open living area. Remains of the old wooden hut were demolished to make space for a new extension containing three bedrooms and two bathrooms overlooking the sea.
