Belarusian Memorial Chapel Building
This humble structure was built for the Belarusian diaspora community in the UK. Timber serves as a reminder of the loss of many wooden Belarusian settlements. A series of contemporary elements have been introduced to the basic traditional form, such as the undulating timber frill of the flank walls which enlivens the exterior. In 2018 it was selected alongside 536 shortlisted entries for the World Architecture Festival 2018 Awards.
