GM Architects are excited to announce SUNRISE, a new hotel concept coming soon to the island of Mykonos. Designed with an effortlessly casual and carefree spirit, SUNRISE invites you to experience the Mykonos we all love and miss—a place that is nostalgic yet rooted in the beauty of nature.

Nestled between the island’s stunning sea, sky, and sand, SUNRISE offers an authentic and tranquil escape. The hotel is a celebration of the island’s natural elements—wood, rocks, trees, and earth—blended with a lighthearted touch that is both witty and warm. Think whitewashed walls paired with pops of color, creating a vibrant yet calm atmosphere where comfort meets creativity.

A Dining Experience in Harmony with Nature
The Almiriki restaurant garden terrace becomes a natural extension of the indoor area and sits among the existing Tamarix trees with natural shading, an inspired color scheme and open views to the Aegean.

The covered area of the restaurant acts as a natural extension of the garden terrace with an abundance of natural finishes such as chestnut timber sourced locally, rattan and colored cement tiles brings a sense of place and feeling of openness to the beautiful natural settings around. Consistent with the design narrative, the color scheme is inspired by nature with different shades of greens and light browns. Crafted sculpted walls mimicking the Almiriki leaves complement the overall holistic scheme.

Designed for those who seek to embrace life’s simple pleasures—whether basking in the sun, admiring the panoramic views, or unwinding in thoughtfully curated spaces, the ALMIRIKI Beach Club enhances this experience with diverse lounging settings, offering guests both privacy and comfort.

Large circular huts, designed for couples desiring exclusivity, provide shelter from the summer winds while ensuring an uninterrupted connection to the sea. Every element of the beach club is meticulously crafted to complement its natural surroundings, maintaining a sense of ease and effortless luxury.

From the unpretentious yet inviting design to the thoughtfully curated spaces, every corner of SUNRISE Beach Hotel reflects our vision for a hotel that feels as connected to Mykonos as the island’s timeless spirit. The beach suites are feast of colors and patterns reminiscent of the Mykonos of the 70’s where carefree glamour was deeply entrenched by the island’s authenticity. This was a period when you would dine in a typical taverna next to Gunther Sacks or Jackie Onassis and would end up having late drinks in a small bar nearby.
