Urbane Mitte am Gleisdreieck Berlin
COBE Berlin has received first prize in an international architecture competition to design Berlin’s Urbane Mitte am Gleisdreieck, a master plan located at the gateway to GleisdreieckPark in Berlin.
The architects are working with Man Made Land, Knippers Helbig and Mafeu Architektur Consulting.
The proposed new center has an urban, metropolitan appeal and incorporates Berlin archetypes, such as the iron truss structures of transit stations and typical Berlin blocks and high-rises.
The masterplan will open to the park nearby, and offer Berliners and visitors a wide range of uses.
