Hakko Kyoto, Japan : Osamu Morishita Architect & Associates

Hakko is one of the biggest dealers handling European cars around Osaka, specializing in Jaguar, Land Rover and so on. This showroom is their first showroom in Kyoto. In Kyoto stricter restrictions for the cityscapes was introduced about 6 years ago. It enforces many details on the façade and roofs. For example, the top of the façade should be a banked, traditional roof. The color should be calm like old Japanese houses and so on.

CCS Architecture news, California : Grand Hyatt nominated for Best Restaurant Award, USA

CCS Architecture are based in San Francisco and New York, United States of America. This architectural firm completed a total renovation to the restaurant, bar and lobby at the Grand Hyatt on Union Square in San Francisco. The restaurant, OneUP, has been nominated for the Hotel & Property Category in the International Design & Architecture Awards.

Frank Gehry is Design Principal for the firm of Gehry Partners. Before founding the practice, Frank Gehry worked with architects Victor Gruen and Pereira & Luckman in Los Angeles, USA, and with André Remondet in Paris, France.
Shanghai Tower, China : Gensler

Shanghai Tower is located in the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, an area of Shanghai that was farmland a little over 20 years ago. The area is China’s first super-tall district, as Shanghai Tower rises to complete a trio of towers including the adjacent Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center.

People’s Theatre and ‘Niemeyer Way’ opened in 2007: this is an addition to the Caminho Niemyer, a series of buildings along Niteroi’s Bayside. The People’s Theatre building is located beyond the Bus Terminal, on the left as you exit the Ferry Station.

Camping Cavallino Treporti, near Venice, Italy : Matteo Thun & Partners

Matteo Thun & Partners has signed the Masterplan for 6.400 m2 of the renowned Marina di Venezia Camping, located in front of Venice. A group of 32 small patio houses, called “Garden Villas”, offer a contemporary interpretation of camping bungalows providing both comfort and a close contact with nature.
