Koepenicker Strasse is, in terms of architectural history, an important artery between Berlin-Mitte and Kreuzberg. Here rough-and-tumble Berlin can still be experienced today in all its richness of contrast – from turn-of-the-century industrial buildings to the practical functionality of post-war architecture.

The project Square 1, a pioneering office campus, is being built in Berlin-Johannisthal, not far from Germany’s largest technology park and media centre Adlershof. The two-part building complex with five full storeys, connected by glass bridges, is used by Berliner Sparkasse as its headquarters and is located in the immediate vicinity of the listed Schoeneweide railway depot (Bahnbetriebswerk (Bw)).

The Office building FA 206 is a new modern, trapezoidal office building now occupies an approximately 6000 sqm corner plot between Frankfurter Allee and Buchberger Strasse in the Berlin district of Lichtenberg. The building has a green inner courtyard and an expressive rust-red clinker brick façade whose materiality and colour refer to historical industrial buildings from the beginning of the 20th century.

Located in the Wannsee district of Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf, this three-storey residential building with underground parking is situated on the shores of the lake Griebnitzsee. The property, in an exposed location on the lakeside, widens out towards the shore and has generous access to the water. In the immediate vicinity is Babelsberg Park with the palace of the same name as well as Glienicke Palace Park.

The Hansaviertel in Berlin’s Tiergarten district was built in the 1950s according to plans by renowned architects as an urban landscape in which solitary houses alternate embedded in green spaces. Today, the district is one of the world’s largest ensemble monuments of “New Objectivity” and post-war modernism.

The seven-storey office complex EDGE Suedkreuz Berlin was built sustainably using a modular timber hybrid construction method. The larger of the two free-standing buildings covers around 20,000 sqm of floor space, making it the largest wood-hybrid building in Germany. The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) certified the project as Germany’s most sustainable building in 2022.

The first building in Russia constructed with Corten steel. This office building stands on the historic site of the former Rossiya factory in St Petersburg’s Polustrovo district. Situated on the right bank of the Neva opposite the Smolny Cathedral.

The “EMBASSY” residential project, consisting of six buildings, was built on a 22,774 sqm plot opposite Koellnischer Park. The listed park near the Spree River, dates back to a city fortification from the 17th century.

TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten design, plan and build for national and international clients in the public and private
sectors. With over 180 highly qualified, interdisciplinary employees and many years of experience, the company,
with its offices in Hamburg, Berlin and Dresden, offers architecturally and functionally sustainable solutions for a
wide variety of building tasks in Germany and abroad.
In addition to residential and commercial buildings, the firm’s focus includes the planning of hotels, commercial
