The Menil Drawing Institute, has announced that four architecture practices have been shortlisted for the design of the museum’s new building.
Menil Drawing institute Building shortlist:
– SANAA from Tokyo
– David Chipperfield Architects from London
– Tatiana Bilbao from Mexico
– Johnston Marklee from Los Angeles
Each of them are to submit a project which will selected at the beginning of June 2012.

Pavilion Expo Zaragoza
The Mexican Pavilion at the Expo Zaragoza 2008 is located at the western end of the Ronda 1 building. It occupies the two double heights set aside for it of a building already constructed by the organizers to be handed over “in the rough” to be developed by the participants. The Mexican delegation chose the motto “We are water” as the guiding thread of the image and structure of the pavilion.

“We take the opportunity of the Easter Pilgrimage 2011 along the Ruta del Peregrino project in Jalisco, Mexico, to send out a Press Release showing the pilgrimages new infrastructure in use for the first time with a short selection of images by Iwan Baan and a brief explication of the project. Looking back at the Easter Pilgrimage 2011 at Ruta del Peregrino, the most important event of the year, we are pleased to announce the final step of the second construction phase.”
