A new eco-friendly hotel, ‘The Orchard’, has opened for business on The University of Nottingham’s main campus. The £20m building was funded entirely by the University.

BA Head Office Waterside
The Waterside building in Harmondsworth, London, is the international head office of British Airways. The building cost £200m and is located northwest of Heathrow Airport. The BA Headquarters building includes six sections backing onto a 175-metre (574 ft) glazed atrium street; each section represents a continent served by British Airways. The six limestone-clad four-storey horseshoe-shaped sections all back on to an internal ‘street’ that runs inside an atrium.

Riverbank Park Plaza building
A twelve storey, 450-room hotel in a prominent location on London’s Albert Embankment, opposite Tate Britain and Millbank Tower. On completion it was the largest new-build hotel project in the capital. In addition to the acoustically secure bedrooms and associated bar and restaurant, the building has two large basement level banquet halls, each accommodating more than 1,500 people.

Sadler’s Wells Theatre : major London theatre building
The new Sadler’s Wells is designed to attract international dance companies, create an arts training centre and provide community and education facilities.
It features a 1,560 seat auditorium with a 15m by 15m stage and 80 seat orchestra pit. The auditorium is lined with metal gauze panels that take dramatically transforming light and image projection, uniting audience and performers. There are three foyer galleries with bars, plus rehearsal and teaching spaces.
