Kindergarden 180
The Kindergarden 180 is part of the new residential area in Yu Hang in the east of Hangzhou, China. The three-storey new building is planned for 180 children in 6 groups dependent from their age.

The site is located in the east of the city of Hangzhou. The eastern part of the site is divided by a 15m wide water canal. The concept takes up this specific landscape feature. Flat residential buildings, townhouses and a kindergarten will be placed along this small river. Residential high-rise buildings in combination with commercial ground-floor buildings will be set up along the main streets in North and West.

The site lies upon a hill in a beautiful small village in the district Potsdam-Mittelmark in a fantastic scenic situation with breathtaking views over the nearby lake. The surroundings are dominated by a combination of historical and modern mansions. As many of the old large trees on the site should be kept as possible.

The bambooline berlin explores the cities urban development and proposes a new approach for the temporary, interim use of sustainable urban wasteland. A new, imaginary band complements the historically developed lines of the Berlin cityscape: the Berlin bambooline. This Berlin based architectural practice present development strategy examples for 15 sites along the bambooline.

Congress Center Hangzhou
After perennial design and construction phase the congress center of the new city administration of Hangzhou, China is completed. The concept and design of the facade was made by this Berlin architecture studio (before Pysall Ruge) in collaboration with Prof Wang Xiaosong from DBH GmbH.

Peter Ruge Architekten is a locally and internationally active planning office based in Berlin. Our mission is simple: to develop and build the sustainable architecture of the future.
