Bloomberg Center Building at Cornell Tech Campus – Winner of a citation in the 2017 P/A Awards
Due to complete later in 2017, the Bloomberg Center is the first of three main buildings in the $2 billion Cornell Tech campus on New York’s Roosevelt Island. Part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s 2011 initiative to make the city a global hub for technology development, the campus is a joint venture between Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and Israel’s Technion University.

A new sustainable academic building. The ribbon cutting ceremony marks a defining moment in Cooper Union’s rich 150 year history, underscoring the college’s commitment to academic excellence and its enduring tradition of granting full-tuition scholarships to all students. The distinctive building on Third Avenue between East 6th and 7th Streets will be New York City’s first LEED certified academic laboratory building.
