The whole proposal for the eco-boulevard in Vallecas can be defined as an urban recycling operation consisting of the following actions: insertion of an air tree-social dynamizer, over an existing urbanization area, densification of existing alignment trees and reduction and asymmetric arrangement of wheeled traffic circulation. Superficial interventions reconfiguring the existing urbanization (perforations, fillings, paint, etc.) that defaces the executed kerb development.

Trained as architects at the School of Architecture of Madrid, Bartlett School of Architecture – London and the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia.

Project Teaching activities at the Higher School of Architecture of Madrid since 2001. Guest lecturers at the National University in Santiago de Chile and the Higher School of Art in the Principality of Asturias.
Published and exhibited projects in Spain, and different European and Latin American cities.
Awarded grants since 1994 by more than ten public and private institutions.
Since 2000, they have worked as freelance professionals [www.ecosistemaurbano.com] and they are currently developing the construction of an Eco-boulevard in Madrid (a pilot experience for the climatic adaptation of outdoor spaces), The new Meteorological Museum at the historical Retiro Park of Madrid, and the project on the reactivation of Philadelphia’s city centre creating a new relationship between ecology and the built environment.
