Watten Residences – Cluster Housing
Category A: Residential Projects (Cluster Housing)
Client / Owner: Simefield Pte Ltd
The cluster of strata landed houses is configured to create a pleasant, low-scaled and quiet private enclave. Each house fronts the linear pool which is cleverly integrated with landscape to create depth of space. Waterscape is run continuously along the entire length of the row of terrace houses, creating an infinity effect and expanding the sense of space within.
The layered treatment of the facades, landscape, hardscape and waterscape create a sense of privacy which would have been difficult to achieve in such tightly constrained development plot. The jury is impressed that the designer was able to create an environment of such an intimate scale and pleasant to live in despite challenging conditions presented by the site.
