The project demonstrates a successful design approach with an agenda premised on sustainable redevelopment and renewal. Indeed, it has created positive social and environmental impacts.

The school is built around an existing one, which was outdated, quite rundown and perfunctory. The architect added a new taller wing against the backdrop of the hillside, and made part of it sit over the existing block.

In so doing, the interlocking blocks created an internal open atrium, around which principal circulation is organised. It resulted in a space which is well lit, ventilated, yet sheltered, which becomes the centre of interaction. The project is laudable for creating a place for the community imbued with a great sense of life.
