The architects for this development were Terry Farrell & Partners, headquartered in London. The architecture practice are probably best know for their masterplanning work, such as Exhibition Road and Earls Court in London. Terry Farrell was Edinburgh’s ‘Design Tsar’ for many years in the early 21st century.
The organisers say this about the development: “Visit the Life Science Centre for fun, educational days out for kids and families in Newcastle upon Tyne. Our packed programme includes science activities for all ages from pre-school to adults, including special events and birthday parties. We’re a great destination for school trips and groups visits, and during the winter you can even ice skate on our outdoor ice rink.”
