Buildings in Lower Manhattan:

Lower Manhattan, also known as Downtown Manhattan or Downtown New York, is the southernmost part of Manhattan, the central borough for business, culture, and government in New York City. At the east end of Chambers Street is the giant Manhattan Municipal Building.

North of Chambers Street and the Brooklyn Bridge and south of Canal Street lies most of New York’s oldest Chinatown neighborhood. Many court buildings and other government offices are also located in this area.

The Brooklyn Bridge crossing the East River from Manhattan in the west to Brooklyn in the east:

The Brooklyn Bridge is the southernmost of the four toll-free vehicular bridges connecting Manhattan and Long Island, with the Manhattan Bridge, the Williamsburg Bridge, and the Queensboro Bridge to the north. Only passenger vehicles and pedestrian and bicycle traffic are permitted. A major tourist attraction since its opening, the Brooklyn Bridge has become an icon of New York City.

NYC from the East River:

Most of these images focus on the Manhattan waterfront, around the Brooklyn Bridge, The Battery Park, Two Bridges areas where the East River meets the Hudson River. The Brooklyn Bridge features clearly in one of the pictures and you can see Battery Park City in others. The unmistakeable outline of the Empire state Building can be seen in the background of a few others.
