Isabelle Lomholt of e-architect helped present awards at the event last night in the Radisson.
Page \ Park Architects won practice of the year.
The Architecture Grand Prix went to the City of Glasgow College – Riverside Campus by Reiach and Hall and Michael Laird Architects.
The Chairman’s Award was a surprise, given to Edinburgh-based co-design studio HERE+NOW C.I.C. for their month-long outdoor photography exhibition in Rodney St tunnel, Canonmills, Edinburgh. “Hold Me Dear: Four Cities, [Extra]ordinary Places” held in September 2015. The designers speech was the highlight of the evening, eloquent and inspiring.

The Scottish Design Awards are now in their 19th year and are Scotland’s most prestigious awards for architecture firms and design agencies.
We aim to reward creativity and beautiful ideas within Scotland’s design industry.

What Work is Eligible?
Design: work done by Scottish design consultancies, advertising agencies, direct marketing agencies, printers and client companies or work done for Scottish clients no matter where the designer is based.
Architecture: buildings/projects built in Scotland, buildings/projects designed by Scottish architects/engineers/lighting designers but sited anywhere in the world.

Judging Panel
The awards will be judged by two panels, one for design and one for architecture and on these panels will be experts from each industry who will use their knowledge and skills to decide who wins the awards.
What are the Judges Looking for?
As the awards are about design excellence, whether that be graphic or architectural design, the panels will be looking for an innovative piece of work, a new approach to design and a concept that stands out from the crowd.

How to Enter
Ensure that your entries conform to all the rules and are sent in the form stated in the submission formats section.
Please follow the instructions below to enter the Scottish Design Awards 2016
• Register on the Scottish Design Awards website.
• Look at the categories and decide which ones you would like to enter.
• Complete the entry process online.
• Please supply High Res Jpegs (360dpi) of all submitted work online. (Please note these images may be used for publication and the show in the event of a nomination and/or win).
• Process Payment. Payment can be made by credit cards – all major credit cards except American Express or Diners Club. Alternatively if you wish to make payment by cheque, leave your entry in your basket. Please make cheques payable to Carnyx Group Ltd.
Sending in Your Work
• Complete one copy of the INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FORM for each entry and loosely attach it to the relevant entry material. DO NOT GLUE – for all categories that require boards or samples.
• Deadline for entering 5pm Wednesday 2nd March. Ensure delivery of entries to: Scottish Design Awards, 4th Floor, Mercat Building, 26 Gallowgate, Glasgow G1 5AB.
