A showroom experience, located over three levels. Thynk supply tiles, timber, carpet and window coverings to Project home builders and individuals.
Expanding their range to target architects and designers, as well as their existing customers, the showroom experience required multiple functions.
In order to create a memorable experience, and attract new customers, a different approach was taken with the design of the showroom.
By creating an immersive environments that utilise the finishes on offer by Thynk, spaces such as the six fully functional bathrooms (over the three levels), kitchens, offices and selection rooms were created to showcase different styles (Scandinavian, rustic etc) in order to showcase products in context.
Each environment was designed to be temporary in nature, with finishes changing out to showcase new materials periodically. Thus re-imaging the function of a traditional pop-up store experience.

The overall exterior architectural forms took geometric and formal cues from key elements in its natural setting which then transformed into the interior with a layered, eclectic and rich patina of materiality.

The style of the home is strong yet classic and inherently sophisticated. Entering the home, the drama is emphasised by a double volume entrance space with open Eastern views right through the house to Sydney Harbour and beyond.
