1072 West Peachtree Rises as a New Landmark Within Atlanta’s Live-Work-Play Urban Fabric

1072 West Peachtree Atlanta Tower News

ATLANTA (March, 2025) — Following the building’s recent topping out, 1072 West Peachtree, Atlanta’s tallest tower in over three decades, is taking shape. Designed by Atlanta-based architecture, interior design, and planning firm TVS, the tower will rise 60 stories (749 feet), making it the tallest residential building and the fifth-tallest building in the city. Combining 350 luxury residences, 224,000 square feet of Class-A office space, 6,300 square feet of street-level retail, and parking for 750 vehicles, 1072 West Peachtree represents a key contribution to Midtown Atlanta’s live-work-play urban fabric.

The project exemplifies the strength of collaboration between TVS and developer, Rockefeller Group.

“For more than fifty years, TVS has helped define Atlanta’s civic identity through transformative design,” says Janet Simpson, President and CEO of TVS. “Working together with the Rockefeller Group and our development partners, we have created a new destination that contributes meaningfully to Atlanta’s skyline while enhancing the experience of living and working in Midtown.”

1072 West Peachtree’s form and material strategy balance vertical expression with contextual sensitivity. At its base, a stone-clad podium anchors the building within the surrounding streetscape, with retail and office spaces designed to create an active and engaging environment for visitors, workers, and residents. Above, a slender glass residential tower utilizes a unique pinwheel configuration. With only eight units on most floors, the design ensures each residence receives at least two cardinal views.

As one of Midtown’s most amenitized office and residential buildings, 1072 West Peachtree features a luxury spa and fitness center, resort-style pool and deck, smart-building systems, and concierge and valet services. A Sky Garden serves as Midtown’s largest outdoor amenity deck, offering panoramic views of the city and a landscaped environment designed to promote wellness and community.

Founded in Atlanta in 1968, TVS has played a central role in shaping the city’s built environment for more than five decades, designing mixed-use, cultural, and commercial projects that have defined key districts and neighborhoods. At 1072 West Peachtree, the firm continues this tradition with a design approach centered on creating welcoming, connected spaces for Midtown residents, workers, and visitors.
