The house is realized on an old Japanese cherry-farm in the Datun mountains of North-Taiwan. It is designed as a vessel to react on the demanding wind, flooding and heat conditions on the site. The house is a stick raised above the ground in order to let the flood waters run under it.

The Performing Arts Center embraces Taiwanese culture’s reverence for the theater as a fundamentally open art form. The Center is conceived not only as a ceremonial setting for theater as high art, but moreover as an inclusive “People’s Theater” that is woven into everyday life.

The High Council of The Chambers of Commerce of Madrid project was limited to designing a construction employing these two meanings. On a rectangular site close to the Madrid ringroad and on a rock base we deposited a hermetic concrete box as though it were an object.

In less than a year a protestant church was built in the centre of the Lower Austrian town Hainburg. The shape of the building is derived from that of a huge “table”, with its entire roof construction resting on the legs of the “table” – four steel columns.
