The headquarters building for Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) Studio, a fashion design company, is a new, six-story structure built behind two landmarked facades in New York City’s Meatpacking District. The building houses the company’s flagship store, a 5,000 SF flexible showroom/event space, design and administrative offices for a 120-person staff, an executive suite, and a private penthouse apartment. The project’s diverse program is unified through a singular iconic gesture: a stairway that collects and distributes light from the roof through to the deepest interior parts of the building.

The Sheffield Digital Campus is a new development in Sheffield City Centre close to the railway station and bus station. The £110 million eCampus will be one of the most technologically advanced business sites in Europe and will help establish Sheffield as a centre for IT related and knowledge based industries in the UK, and Europe.

St Petersburg Masterplan
Wilkinson Eyre Architects, with developers Glavstroy, have been announced as winners of the competition to masterplan Apraksin Dvor, a 14 hectare market district in central St. Petersburg. The British architecture practice was given the go-ahead by the Governor of St Petersburg on Friday 25 January after an international design competition. It is the first project for Wilkinson Eyre in Russia.

This is a strong form, a concrete frame on three sides to encapsulate contemporary living spaces. This Japanese residence is notable for its bold cantilever and for its clever design moves.

7 WTC : New Photo
The tower, to be named 3 World Trade Center, was due to rise 80 stories above Ground Zero, and had been scheduled for completion in 2015 – 14 years after the terrorist attacks on New York.
