RMJM launches new Global Health Studio
The UK-based international architecture firm RMJM today announced the formation of a Global Health Studio (GHS). The GHS will be based in RMJM’s New York office and will operate in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
RMJM’s science and health experience includes designing hospitals, cancer centres, medical schools and research centres for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The new GHS follows the success of RMJM’s Global Education Studio, established in 2007. The GHS will be headed by Steven K. Gifford, Principal, with senior leaders in RMJM offices worldwide.
RMJM’s CEO Peter Morrison said, “RMJM’s combination of science, research and healthcare design experience is phenomenally powerful and the Global Health Studio will allow us to bring together our worldwide expertise in cutting-edge technologies to provide the best possible service for our clients. Healthcare is a strong market sector for us and in the current economy we will strengthen our business by investing in science and medicine.”
“Healthcare will be the world’s number one growth business,” said Steven Gifford, leader of the Global Health Studio. “RMJM has a wealth of health and science experience across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. RMJM’s team is committed to exploring and delivering creative design solutions in response to the growing convergence of healthcare delivery and translational medical research. This new studio structure will bring together our best designers and planners from across the world to create state-of-the-art healthcare and science facilities.”
